Struts & Frets Theatre Company is located on the ancestral land of the Kalapuya, Lukiamute, and Yamhill. The Kalapuya, Lukiamute, and Yamhill lived in the Willamette Valley before being forcibly removed to the Grande Ronde and Siletz Reservations in 1856-1857. Struts & Frets acknowledges the Kalapuya, Lukiamute, and Yamhill as the rightful inhabitants of this land. Additionally, we acknowledge our role in their history of pain, marginalization, ethnic cleansing, genocide, and cultural erasure, both past and present. We honor the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, the Confederated Tribes of Siletz, and we respect the many Indigenous people living, thriving, and connected to this land.
